Lonnnng overdue wedding pictures!

Months ago I introduced you to an awesome couple who I did engagement photos for in downtown Mobile... here are some of my favorite pictures from their wedding in Pensacola. The awesome Whitney J of CAVU Photography helped me shoot this wedding! It was great working with her for the night!

Love this last picture of the girls playing with the chair ribbons! They were exhausted by the end of the night!

B&B Engagement

A couple weekends ago I met this awesome couple downtown at Spot of Tea for a meet 'n greet and some tasty strawberry sweet tea!! After Spot of Tea we headed out in the sweltering heat to capture some engagement photos.... If these two look this happy in the intense summer heat I can't wait to see them on their wedding day!

Check back in October for pictures of their old hollywood style glam wedding!

Anyone need a new place in Pensacola??

Okay so total self promotion here.... but we looooved this house and now we have to sell since we don't live in Pensacola anymore. It is a GORGEOUS home that has all the charm of the older homes, but has been totally renovated for modern living!!

Contact Renee at Donovan Realty if you are interested!

Baby Parker!!

So as a photographer I have the amazing opportunity to help document the big milestones in life: engagements, weddings, maternity and my favorite of all - newborns!!! They are just so small, cute and sometimes I find that I have to remind myself to "put the baby down and get back to work!!". A couple months ago I shared the pictures of the maternity session counting down his arrival, and now drum roll........ here he is!!!

This crib is gorgeous, it has been in the family for decades.

Love, love, love this picture!

Even when he was fussy he was still adorable!!
Can't wait to keep meeting up with this little guy!!

At long last....

My friend, neighbor and landscape designer, Catherine has been waiting for this post for well over a month now... so here you go!! When I started my patio furniture project I didn't realize that I'd be writing a post for it, so excuse the P&S camera photos!

Back in April we got a set of well "loved" patio furniture from my parents in ATL... yes we looked like the Clampets hauling these home on the back of the Tahoe, but hey it worked... So here's what the set looked like originally. I'm pretty sure this stuff is at least 10-15yrs if not older, it's in really good condition, considering!

Step 1: Spray paint. We used 2 different colors to give it a more textured look. (Lesson learned: MOVE the chairs OFF your porch BEFORE you start spraying.... yes, even with the tarp, the fog-o-spray-paint will eventually settle and color whatever it lands on....)
First complete chair done!
Step 2: Pick out and order fabric. This is Waverly Sun N Shade Outdoor - Lovely Lattice in Citrine (I think) with a coordinating stripe that I will eventually use for accent pillows...
Here's Tilloo modeling the old covers. I left them on in hopes that it would help "hold" the cushions together.... After a couple mock-ups, and some helpful ideas from Catherine, my neighbor Stephanie and of course a call to Mom, I finally came up with this "pattern".... these chairs HAVE to be harder to recover than most since the cushions are one big cushions that is attached in the middle by a something a lot more industrial than my little sewing machine. I used one continuous piece of fabric that opens in the middle...
After pinning it and having Trey caaarrreeffffully pull it off (he had to fold it up like a clamshell and cinch it off) I sewed up the sides and then had Trey reverse the process to get the cover back on.... Due to the way the cushions sit in the chair you will never see this seam... and if you do, I don't care cause there was no other option! :)
All 4 chairs done!!!!!!!!! Next step, finding some inexpensive outdoor pillows that I can recover or sew covers for.... no hurry here! :)
Love, love, love my new outdoor seating!!!
I have lots more DIY projects to showcase....
Happy entertaining!

And baby makes 6!

A couple years ago I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of two very awesome people. I was instantly impressed with the warmth and love that the bride's children had for their new step-dad... In March the family came over to Mobile to introduce their newest addition - baby Max! Here are a couple of my favs from the wedding!

And a few of my favorites from their last session...

This is one of my favorites from the session!
Check back around Christmas for another session!
