Squadron Pictures

Over the past 3 years I've done 100s of family photo sessions for the local squadrons.  Two of my favorite sessions have been for VT-6, the "Shooters" up at Whiting Field.  Each year I've done the overall group picture, but this year I got to go up in the "man-lift"!  It was all fun and games until the lift got stuck and I had to be "oh so gracefully" helped down! Anyways, here are a couple of my favorites from the session.  I usually take a few set up shots to get the exposure etc correct, sometimes I get the best pictures this way!! I cropped in close to catch the fun exchange between the CO and XO of the squadron...

After the group shots I generally stick around to capture a few pictures of the planes.

Enjoy!

Make an Impact.

Unfortunately photography is not my "M-F" job, instead I'm a business consultant for Deloitte. One of the best things about this company is that the first Friday of each June the entire company takes the day off and does community service, we call it "Impact Day".  This past Friday the Pensacola office spent the day working at the Humane Society's pet cemetery off Pine Forest Rd.  While not the most glamorous or high profile job it was something that needed to be done to help honor the memory of all the "fur-kids" that are laid to rest there.  And when the Director stopped by at the end of the day her jaw dropping exclamations of "wow... wow... wow" were all the thanks we needed!  Seeing the pure gratitude and amazement on her face definitely helped ease the aches and pains of hours upon hours of raking the never-ending piles of leaves!  Yes we had plenty of Stephen King comments, but this pet cemetery was filled with nothing but love, memories, and proudly no more leaves!

Its amazing how one day of hard work can have such an Impact on so many people.
Make an Impact each day.
